Back in the saddle again

After a week of vacation, a day of retail therapy after not getting the job I wanted (I just got the credit card bill for that BTW, anyone want to pay it?), going to see Wicked, which was wicked awesome, and being on vacation and being asleep before midnight each night while on vacation, I'm finally back in the groove.

I'm still seeing my chiropractor weekly since my accident. In fact, last week my back tightened up again to the point where I was taking muscle relaxants yet again. Joy. I just want to get better.

But now I'm back in school, and even though this is also an eight week term, I don't feel nearly as stressed out by it as I did taking accounting spring semester, even though I'm taking two classes this time around. It must be because one of them is in the traditional classroom setting, so I don't feel like I have quite so much to do, even if there is a research paper and a presentation involved.

Why do I love Barnes and Noble so?

Aside from the Starbucks of course.

Because I can get my textbooks new cheaper from there than I can the school bookstore AND today they emailed me a 15% off of one item coupon. How's that for a cheap book?

Election Insanity

Do you want to know the easiest way to get me to NOT vote for you? Ambush me at the precinct the minute I pull into a parking spot. We went to vote at like 7:30 and the parking lot still looked like the picket line for a strike with people campaigning. As soon as we opened the doors to the car and stepped out, there were all these people on us, and we just about had to fight our way to get in to vote. Instant turnoff, being ambushed like that.

One of the election workers was a coach from my high school swim team and she said that it was like that all day, and they even had to make marks on the parking lot to show them the lines that they had to stay behind.

Some days, it really makes me wish that there was a "none of the above" option.

Long Week

Well, I'm slowly feeling better but still in pain. I spent Thursday and half of Friday asleep thanks to some good drugs. It's getting better and I can actually sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time. And I get my car back on Monday since they called when I was tanked on drugs yesterday and unable to drive and the body shop isn't open today. Soon. Next week's gotta be better, after all, I'm on vacation.
