Fuzzy comfort

So last night I was curled up in bed reading a book before I went to bed and realized that here I am, 23 years old, and have no problem curling up with a fuzzy teddy bear and a good book for relaxation. There's something so right about the simple comforts of life.

More on Grandma

Well, today my dad to grandma to another doctor. Everything seems to be back on track. She's got a bone scan, MRI and another doctor's appointment scheduled. She is also on the cancellation list so that if anything can open up, she can get the bone scan and MRI as soon as possible. The doctor that she saw today wanted her to have the scans over the weekend but there were no openings. He also felt the spot on her leg and said that it felt warmer than her other leg, which is a slight cause for worry for me because it seems like that means that there's a lot of blood flowing to that area.

Now we wait for test results...

This and that

This is so gonna be a mishmash jumble of things that has crossed my sleep deprived mind in the past few days, so bear with me.

Well, the big surprise was that my grandma's doctor's emergency, has made it so that he can't be her doctor anymore. He died. Now we gotta find her a new doctor.

Other than that, the same old same old has been going on. I'm off this weekend and am looking forward to it, it could be a good weekend. And now I just gotta take some time to work on some of my craft projects. I've got so many built up that are half done. Maybe it's time for some serious crafting.

Worried

To begin with, the background for this post. Two years ago my grandma had a lobectomy due to lung cancer. They caught it just in time, before it metastasized and she didn't have to undergo chemo or radiation or anything like that, just CT's every 6 months since then. Then last summer they thought that there w6as a mass on the adrenal gland and tried to biopsy it, but couldn't because of the proximityto the spine and nothing came of it, but my grandma was insistent that the doctor said that it was on her tailbone, so they went to another doctor, who saw nothing.

And now this is rearing it's ugly head again.

Last weekend her leg was hurting so my Aunt took her to MedExpress. They did an x-ray, and when they did so, a mass was found.

My dad made a doctor's appointment with her for yesterday (Thursday) but the doctor got called away to an emergency, so the appointment is now on Monday.

All I have to say is, don't let it be metastatic bone cancer.

Please God, don't let it be bone cancer.

The joy of a good crack

My neck's been bugging me for a few days now and last night it got particularly bad so I called the chiropracter this morning. Got in at 3 and had a good crack today. My neck was really out and it explained the headaches that I've been having the past few days. There's nothing like a good crack

Hibernation

It has been so freaking cold this week that I've just wanted to stay in bed curled up under my electric blanket and not do a thing. But I have wandered out a few times. I went and bought an iPod this weekend. And I love the thing. I barely leave home without it. Other than that, I've pretty much lived curled up under my blanket and only wandered out when I have to.

Speed limits

Why does the person that you're behind in the middle lane on the expressway, have to be going 5mph LESS than the posted limit?
