Struggling to move

Note to self: Stretch more before working out.

I'm sitting here sipping coffee out of my "I got out of bed for THIS?!" mug barely able to move. Between the 3 hours of gardening on Sunday, working out yesterday on a workout that was full of squats, lunges and jumping squats and lunges, I'm hurting. Plus I cleaned most of my room yesterday. I have to finish that today so that I can clean the carpet, but for the moment, I'm just going to sit here and think about what I'm going to plant to attract hummingbirds to go with the wine bottle shaped hummingbird feeder that I bought last night. Then I'm going to go pick up my reserved copy of Skin Trade and hope that it gets warm enough that I can sit on the swing and read it.

Mission

I have 9 more Anita Blake Vampire Hunter novels to read before Skin Trade comes out next Tuesday. I can do it.

The Last Lecture

I recently finished reading The Last Lecture which was recommended to me by my manager and my friend Kelly. This book was really inspirational to me because I was amazed at the dignity with which Randy faced his terminal illness. It took me a while to read this book but I was really enjoyed the honesty and the story of his last lecture at Carnegie Mellon and how he was even accepted as a doctoral student there. It's a book about determination and making the best out of the circumstances of life. It's a good read for those looking for inspiration.

Eragon and Eldest

I recently finished reading Eragon and Eldest and as I read them, it was amazing the parallels that I drew to the Star Wars universe. Now, I haven't read Brisingr yet, but if what I've learned in the first two books holds true, then it's going to be even closer to the Star Wars series.
