Happiness

I think I'm the happiest that I've ever been right now. Things are just amazing with him. I barely get to see him outside of work, in fact, every time that we have time off together, something comes up. We work almost opposite shifts, yet for two and a half hours each day, I look forward to hearing that lil beep on my computer terminal that means that he had a second to spare and is sending me a short little message. I love the way I break into this huge goofy grin every time that he walks into the lab. And I really like it whenever we try to sneak a kiss back in microbiology. I've honestly never been happier, and I can't wait to continue.

Traditions

Ahhh the first snowfall was last night. So that means it's time for all the winter traditions. Last night's tradition, the first snowfall. Which means that EVERYONE forgets how to drive in the snow and there are car accidents all over. Eesh. And it was only flurries last night. Can't wait til the first heavy snow.[/sarcasm]

And a week from today is Thanksgiving. Which means that we're gonna have 17 or so people at our house to eat. And that's not counting my cousins who are coming for dessert later. So I'm off on Tuesday (I work every other day next week. Score!) and I'm going over to my grandma's house to make the cinnamon rolls that we always have with Thanksgiving dinner with her. I haven't seen her in a while and I like to bake, so it's a perfect thing.

Of course, being so commercialized, Christmas shopping is being pushed in the malls, since there's only 38 days til Christmas, so this Sunday my friends and I, and my mom and a bunch of her coworkers are going down to Auburn Hills to go shopping at Great Lakes Crossing. I haven't been there in forever and I can't wait. And I think that we'll be eating at Rainforest Cafe, which is even cooler. Can't wait for this shopping trip.

And the best part of this holiday season is....

I'm not stuck in retail!

And I'm actually gonna have someone special to share it with this year

S-u-c-c-e-s-s! That's the way you spell success!

Oh it was so funny. He washed my phone number over the weekend. It's why he never called. He felt so bad it was cute. But we talked a bunch today and things are going nicely. Woohoo!!

Progress

Well, Friday I made some progress in the quest to conquer the guy. I left work knowing that he is now in possession of my cell phone number and directions to my house. Now he just needs to make use of those

I survived!

I made it through 3 weeks of hell. The last 3 weeks are pretty much a total blur. I'd get up at the butt crack of dawn (and before, having to get up as early as 4am some days) and drag my butt into the hospital and then get home anytime between 3 and 4 (providing that I got to leave on time. There was one whole week where I left at least 10 minutes late everyday) and I'd come home and sleep because I'd be so tired. Then I'd get up and maybe do something with my friends or family.

And then there was my hope that I'd get to see him more. Yeah right. We were there for more of the same hours, but I saw more of him when I was on second. Glad I'm going back tonight. Though I don't think he's back til tomorrow. Somehow he managed to get a concussion and break his jaw last week according to lab gossip through the ER. I miss teasing him though. And I miss our lil dinnertime chats when he'd be walking by the breakroom, see me in there and come on in and pull up a chair.

Well I guess it's time to go get ready for work so I can run my errands beforehand. And now to see how different 2nd shift bloodbank is from 1st.
