Changes at work

So there's going to be some changes at work. Joy. They've created a new 80 hour position on first and one of the techs from my shift is going to put in for it. And she happens to be in the micro rotation for weekends and is our go to person with micro questions. Joy. This is going to affect me if she does go to first. Which will probably happen because she has the senority over any one else that would want the job.

Am I going to get bumped to her weekend until we can find someone to replace her and get them trained for microbiology? Lynne is on my weekend and she can work micro too and she works Barb's weekend at another lab, so she couldn't really switch weekends. So they could just move me weekends and put Lynne in micro and train the new person for general lab too. I'm willing to pick up some extra weekends until we can get someone trained in micro, but I don't wanna switch weekends. I like my weekend. I like the people on it. I like the pace of it. I know that Barb's weekend is the similar pace as mine, it's not the crazy weekend like Karen's, but I don't get along with the people on it as well. But I'm low man on the totem so I may not get a choice. But if we hire a new person, I won't be low man anymore

There's a plus side though. This is going to open up an 80 hour position on my shift and I don't know if anyone on first or third wants to come to second so this is my chance to get Age up here and be able to move out. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
